If you are looking for cars for sale in Orange County for yourself, or for the teenager in the family that has just received their driving licence, you can’t go wrong with a 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It is a super duper car that is reliable, fun as well as efficient.

Many cars for sale are great vehicles, but there is something special about the Camry hybrid. This amazing used car provides drivers with an exciting ride while providing excellent performance. Apart from all this, the car gives the highest fuel economy estimates for a midsize car in its class and delivers fast acceleration and lively handling. The 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid has everything in one whole package.

Driving

Toyota completely redesigned the Camry and Camry Hybrid for the 2018 model year, and there is a massive improvement from the previous model. The 2018 Camry Hybrid got an additional eight-horsepower, better driving dynamics, and enhanced fuel economy compared to the previous-generation model.

The 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid cars for sale in Orange County is available in three trims: LE, SE, and XLE. All models have the same hybrid powertrain, a continuously variable automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive.

When we say it is a powerful hybrid sedan, the dealers of cars for sale in Orange County mean it wholeheartedly. The car has over 200 horsepower, so it delivers zippy acceleration in many driving situations.

The Camry Hybrid provides a nice blend of handling engagement and a ride comfort.  When it handles turns, it does so with pizzazz, and the smooth ride makes the car the perfect commuter car.

All Camrys are front-wheel drive. The car’s base engine is a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder and an electric motor with a combined 208 horsepower. It has front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic (CVT).

Most popular is the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that pumps out 203 horsepower (206 in XSE models) and earns up to 41 mpg. The Camry that packs the most punch is the V6, which now produces 301 horsepower.

Both of those engines are mated to a new 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Camry Hybrid pairs a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and a battery-powered electric motor for desirable fuel economy of up to 53 mpg.

It should be noted that the Camry Hybrid LE models use a more expensive lithium-ion pack, while the higher-trim Camry Hybrid SE and XLE variants use a nickel-metal hydride battery. Toyota says that the reason for this is because the company wanted to set some fuel-efficiency goals and pricing strategy.

As mentioned above, the 2018 Camry Hybrid has the best fuel economy in its class, and also most of its hybrid rivals. The LE trim gets 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway, while the SE and XLE trim receives 44 mpg and 47 mpg.

Technology

The base model is well-equipped, with heated front seats, an infotainment system, and several active safety features. When you advance to the SE model, you are only added synthetic leather upholstery, while the XLE comes with genuine leather, two more USB ports, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Some features are not standard, no matter what trim level you go for, this includes an 8-inch touch screen, wireless device charging, satellite radio, and a moonroof. You’ll also have to purchase a fully loaded XLE model if you want features such as a premium stereo, a surround-view parking camera, or adaptive headlights.

The 2018 Camry hybrid is fitted in with Toyota Entune infotainment system. If you are not familiar with it, you have nothing to be concerned about because it is very easy to use. It has a touch screen which is very responsive and there are physical controls around the screen for common functions such as audio volume, tuning, and climate adjustments.

Unfortunately, if you are looking for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto smartphone integration, it isn’t available on the 2018 Camry, but the Entune app can link your phone.

The standard infotainment features are a 7-inch touch screen, a USB port, Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo, and smartphone app-linked navigation. However, if the 7-inch screen won’t do for you, you can go for the 8-inch touch screen, HD Radio, satellite radio, two additional USB ports, a nine-speaker JBL premium stereo, wireless device charging, and integrated navigation

There are additional features such as proximity keyless entry, push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other additional features are a moonroof and a 7-inch digital driver information display.

Comfort

The 2018 Camry Hybrid can easily fit five people in its two rows. The front seats may feel a little short when it comes to headroom for tall drivers, but the vehicle has great visibility because of its thin roof pillars. If the tall passengers stick to riding in the back, they will feel comfortable with the ample legroom available.

The vehicle comes with standard seating features such as cloth upholstery, heated front seats, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The available seating features are synthetic or genuine leather upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and eight-way power-adjustable passenger seat.

If you are traveling with young children, you will appreciate the fact that the 2018 Camry Hybrid has two complete sets of LATCH car-seat connectors on the rear outboard seats. The middle seat has a tether anchor, and it can take a  lower anchor from either outboard seat. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the system the highest rating of Good for convenient use. All of the anchors are easy to find and attach car-seat straps to.

Also, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid an overall rating of five out of five stars, with five stars in the frontal crash, side crash, and rollover tests.  The standard advanced safety features are rear view camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking.

You can get the available advanced safety features which are blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive headlights, head-up display, and surround-view parking camera.

Overall

There is nothing bad to say about this popular midsize car that is now available in a hybrid version. Its reputation speaks for itself, has loads of standard safety features and driving aids, plus lots of power and efficiency.
